STEVE SHUTE HAS BEEN
ENDORSED BY THE GARDNER NEWS
Today,
Steve was honored to garner the endorsement of The
Gardner News.
In handing out its endorsement, the newspaper's
editorial board praised
Steve's "informed, intelligent, positive" stance on
issues, and commended him for his efforts to "rise above
the 'intermodal' fray."
"...a lot of what Shute has been saying has been lost in
the clamoring of a polarized ballot," the News
continued. "Rather than blaming, or playing the
victim, Shute's talking about the future, taxes, infrastructure, staff responsibility, community
identity."
The News concluded its
endorsement with the following statement:
[Shute] appears to be an independent thinker with common
sense. He's a fresh face. We're hoping this
apparent political outsider can bring a voice of reason
to a council that has been at loggerheads for too long.
The general election will be held on
Tuesday, April 7,
but early voting has already begun. You can still vote
early by going to the Johnson County Election Office,
2101 E Kansas City Rd.
