Welcome!
Thank you for coming to my website. As
you may very well know, Gardner is a city that stands at
a crossroads. With the ongoing development of BNSF
Railway's intermodal logistics hub, our community will
be changed forever. Although I recognize that the hub
was opposed by a substantial portion of the community, I also see the
possible benefits that the intermodal can provide to
Gardner - if the people of this city are listened to.
I am running for City Council because I believe that we
need someone who will put the
concerns of our citizens first -
before large developers, special interests, and those
looking for a handout at taxpayers' expense. I am a
steadfast defender of personal property rights and will
fight the unjust use of eminent domain - not only with
regard to this project, but any project that seeks to
penalize homeowners and farmers to benefit private
interests. Finally, I want to identify and implement
ways for us to be more efficient and effective as a city
government with the money we have been entrusted by our
citizens. We are stewards of the community's resources
first and foremost, and we should never forget that
we serve the people of the
community,
not the other way around.
